TERRIFIC TITANS TAKE OUT TOP SPOT
The Titans have won the 2021 Willowbend Sports Centre Indoor Netball Competition.
They defeated Spinifex 37 to 31 in a hard fought contest.
“Congratulations to Titans for taking out our competition on what was a very tight and enjoyable game to watch,” Willowbend Sports Centre 2877 Manager Brayden Davis said.

Hayley Ireland (Titans) was named Player of the Grand Final.
Brayden presented the Titans with the Champion Trophy at Willowbend Sports Centre 2877 after the match on Tuesday, 3 August.
Other awards were also given on the night including Best and Fairest, and individual team accolades of Players Player, Most Improved and Team Clown were also handed out.
Best and Fairest was won by Amy Smith and Sophie Jones. They received a Gallery 104 pack for their efforts. Best and Fairest Runner Up was Samantha-Lee Haworth, who received a Nate’s Hair Voucher.
Players Player for MiiMi’s was Danielle Hoskins, Most Improved was Teigan McRae and Team Clown was Sheree Brandy.
For Off Class, Players Player was Kellie Ward, Most Improved was Renee Kirkman and Team Clown was Kerryn Deeves.
Haphazard Players Player was Zillah Bell, Most Improved was Mel Blewitt and Team Clown was Cathy Thompson.
Players Player for Rowdy Rockets was Eloise Lonergan, Most Improved was Emily Goodsell and Team Clown was Maddi Staines.
For Spinifex, Players Player was Naomi Worland and Monique Whitbred, Most Improved was Elouise Ryan and Team Clown went to Alicia Whiley.
Players Player for Titans was awarded to Sarah Pawsey, Most Improved went to Liz Cusack and Team Clown was given to Belinda Coe.
All individual team player awards winners received a water bottle.
Umpires Melissa Barby and Melissa Rees received a bunch of flowers as a thank you for their commitment and hard work throughout the competition. Arabella Blewitt was given a Body Express voucher to show appreciation for her efforts as scorer and assisting Brayden.
With Indoor Netball now over, Willowbend Sports Centre 2877 has turned its attention to hosting Mixed Indoor Tri Sports Competition. The competition is expected to be up and running in the coming months leading into summer.
