SCHOOL LEASES NEW LAND
Parkes Shire Council has allowed Trundle Central School to lease the land surrounding the town irrigation dam. The school will have access from early next year after repairs are completed to the irrigation pump but will lease the land from early December. This is wonderful news as it allows the School to expand their Agricultural program.
This land now legally becomes part of the school and falls under the Enclosed Lands Act. Unauthorized people or stock should not enter the land. The School’s Principle, John Southon intends to clear the land of branches and graze it down to determine how the School can use the land productively.
