First Aid Training Program for students
By Melissa Blewitt
On Thursday, 28 November, sixteen students from the Crossway Boys’ Program participated in a comprehensive First Aid Training Course. Facilitated by Tod Healey and supervised by Sheree Brandy (Aboriginal Education Officer – AEO) and Carl Moss from Marathon Health Dubbo. “The training aimed to equip students with practical skills,” a post on the Condobolin High School Facebook Page read. “The course covered various scenarios, including choking and snake bite victim treatment. “Students learned the importance of applying CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in cases of cardiac arrest or respiratory failure. Pairing up to practice, students demonstrated CPR techniques on adult and baby manikins. “To obtain certification, students sat for a final exam, earning a Statement of Attainment valid for three years,” the post concluded.
