Construction is now underway for the Cobar Connected Learning Centre and Multi Trades Hub.
The NSW Government announced the start of construction of the new multi-million dollar TAFE NSW Connected Learning Centre (CLC) and multi-trades workshop in Cobar on 2 February.
NSW Nationals Upper House MP, Sam Farraway said the new CLC and multi-trades hub will revolutionise education and training in the local community.
“The new multi-disciplinary trades workshop is specifically designed to operate alongside the digitally-enabled CLC, to deliver a range of hands-on courses linked to job outcomes,” he explained.
“These brand-new facilities are what the local community deserves – and will be built in close proximity to community amenities, local schools, and employers.
“Importantly, the new facilities will deliver the practical training TAFE NSW is known for and expand educational opportunities to meet current and future skills needs.”
Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee said the new state-of-the-art facilities will deliver hands-on training in a range of areas critical to the NSW and local economy.
“I’m excited to announce that work is underway for the new CLC and multi-trades hub, which will revolutionise training in Cobar and deliver the right skills needed to support the region,” he stated.
“The NSW Government is significantly investing in TAFE NSW to deliver the skilled workers local employers and industry need and provide students with greater access to quality training.”
The Cobar CLC and multi-trades workshop will be located at 1-5 Prince Street, Cobar.
Construction of the TAFE NSW Cobar Connected Learning Centre and multi-trades hub is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
