The strong entry reflected the growing depth and quality of the breed, with Dell Dorpers claiming a clean sweep of the prestigious Shedding Interbreed competition.
Burrawang’s success was highlighted by Reserve Champion Senior White Dorper Ewe and Reserve Champion Junior Dorper Ewe honours, alongside a string of class wins in both the Dorper and White Dorper sections.
The stud’s results included:
•White Dorper Ewe – 2 Tooth (two classes)
•Reserve Champion Senior White Dorper Ewe
•White Dorper Ewe – 6 Tooth
•White Dorper Ram – 2 Tooth
•Dorper Ewe Lamb
•Reserve Champion Junior Dorper Ewe
•Dorper Ram – 2 Tooth

Burrawang congratulated the Southern and Central Region and the Australian Sheep and Wool Show organisers on staging another successful event, which again attracted a high standard of competition from studs across the country.
The stud also acknowledged the quality of exhibits presented by fellow breeders, describing the overall standard as outstanding and a positive reflection of the continued progress of the Dorper breed.
With the show now behind them, Burrawang has turned its attention to on-farm preparations, with weaning underway and ram classing to follow ahead of Burrawang’s 28th Annual On-Farm Ram Sale, scheduled for Thursday, 8 October.
