A new national record set
A new national record was set at the Central West Livestock Exchange on Tuesday, 15 July. Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon and Co sold 43 second cross lambs for $454 per head for KP and RL McMahon of Tullamore. This also eclipses the saleyard record of $431set that was paid for a pen of 12-month-old second cross lambs on 1 July. According to the Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon and Co Facebook Page the second cross lambs were born during Spring 2024. “The lambs have been successfully grown out on the family-owned and operated feedlot,” a post on the Kevin Miller Whitty Lennon and Co Facebook Page read. “Congratulations to the McMahons on an exceptional result for your fantastic pen of heavy lambs!” Image Credit: Forbes Central West Livestock Exchange Facebook Page.
