PROJECT PROGRESSING

The $239,000 Toddler Pool replacement project in Condobolin is progressing well.

However, rain and the current Covid-19 situation is causing a slowdown, according to Lachlan Shire Council’s Director Infrastructure Services Adrian Milne.

“We are progressing works where we can within the current restrictions to ensure there is no delays to the opening,” he explained. “The Balance tank has been installed and the pipe works are being done to run the water back to the plant room.

“Changes to the filters, pumps, heating, chemical dosing and control unit are also happening now in the plant room.

“The new water play elements and new pebble surface will start going in when we can get the supplies from Dubbo.”

The project is expected to be completed by the time the Swimming Pool is scheduled to open later this year. The project is funded by a combination of Council Funds and Local Road and Community Infrastructure Program.
