NSW Ambulance Extended Care Paramedics were deployed to Condobolin and the Central West to help treat low acuity conditions in the aftermath of the floods. “This makes life easier for residents who already have enough to worry about and takes pressure off general practitioners and hospitals,” a post on the NSW Ambulance Facebook Page read. - Extended Care Paramedics Geoff Barnes (pictured) and Ed Hansen used their skills to help patients at Condobolin Hospital. “They’re suturing, plastering and drawing blood, alongside local medical staff and are supported by doctors via telehealth,” a post on the NSW Ambulance Facebook Page read. “Their assistance is ensuring patients can be treated in Condobolin without requiring an airlift.” Ed and Geoff were the second pair of ECPs in Condobolin Hospital since the floods hit and headed back to Sydney on Saturday, 26 November.
