AWI TASTER SHEARING SCHOOL
Ella, Dylan, Juliet and Damon had an early start Thursday 9th June.
The students travelled to Mr Cattle’s farm at Yalgogrin to learn some valuable tips and tricks in the shearing shed.
The students learnt wool and sheep handling skills, how to ensemble a handpiece, techniques on how to crutch and shear. The importance of sheep in the industry was highlighted and how rewarding it can be to work in the industry.
Thankyou to AWI (Australian Wool Innovation) and Mr Cattle for providing the students with some new skills.
