Vicki nominated for awards

Vicki Hanlon (2nd from right) was nominated for multiple Australia Day awards this year. She was nominated for the Lachlan Shire Citizen of the Year award, which was presented to Janelle Ireland of Tullibigeal. Vicki was also nominated for the Lachlan Shire Community Service Award. This award was received by both Kathy Parnaby of Condobolin and Meredith Ervin of Lake Cargelligo.
The following is the summary read at the Australia Day presentation.
For 11 years Vicki has been the owner of a pivotal community business and a generous donator, supporter and volunteer of many community activities and events happening in Condobolin. She is the Chair of the Condobolin Chamber of Commerce who volunteers and participates in organising community events such as the Condobolin Street Festival, Oktoberfest and Shop Local campaign to name a few.
Vicki displays all the attributes of an involved community person. Her promotion of Condobolin is ever present and her customer service is commendable. Vicki always displays willingness to be involved and assist others in whatever is asked of her. Because Vicki invests 100% of herself into the community, either personally or professionally, her actions ensures local employment and local economy benefit.
Vicki’s honesty, integrity, empathy, generosity and strong work ethic reflect her individual moral compass, her ability to connect with others and her commitment in being an outstanding community member.
