Trundle celebrates Australia Day

On Sunday 26th January 2025, Trundle came together to celebrate Australia Day.
The day began with two grand openings, the Trundle Community Gym and the Trundle Main Street Rejuvenation Project.
This was followed by the Australia Day Community Breakfast at Berryman Oval. Volunteers came down to help with the cooking, serving and setting up.
After breakfast everyone gathered for the award presentation and speeches.
The following are the winners and their awards:
Acknowledgement Awards – Heather Earney and Les Whiley
Youth Person of the Year – Jaxson Whiley
Sports Person of the Year – Vashti Williams
Citizen of the Year – Senior Constable Judith Crawford
Following the presentation and speeches, the Trundle Pool opened to the community with free entry, inflatables, Mr Whippy and music.
