THROWBACK 2020: Students take a closer look at vintage cars
APRIL 2020:
Condobolin Public School students were able to take a close look at how cars have changed over time, when the Condobolin Veteran, Vintage and Restoration Inc Club visited the educational facility on Wednesday, 11 March 2020.
Scott Wallder brought his 1973 Holden HQ model and Don Goodsell showed the students his 1967 Mini (the car has a Mini Copper S body and modifications).
Mr Wallder said the car had been in his family for many years and it had special meaning as this was his father’s last car she owned.
Students were able highlight the differences between modern and vintage vehicles. The students noticed there were no buttons to open and close the windows, no seatbelts and they had tiny motors. All of the students and teachers, plus Mr Wallder and Mr Goodsell, had a great time on the day.
