THROWBACK 2019: Making the transition to big school
AUGUST 2019:
Going to big school can be a little bit daunting, so Lachlan Children Services have been participating in transition days.
Students are introduced to the new environment in a fun and friendly way, while seeing what it is like in the classroom at Condobolin Public School.
On Thursday, 22 August, students were able to have a closer look at the new school chickens, check out some worms and take a walk through the Kindergarten classrooms.
This visit was the last one before, they begin activities in the kindergarten classrooms, participate in activities and join in at recess time. This will all happen over the next few weeks.
There was also a chance to take a look at the School canteen. Miss Melissa was volunteering her time in there to make yummy food for all of the big school kids.
Whilst there Cee who is the canteen Coordinator, told them that the school is finding it difficult to find volunteers to help out. She said any help that the community can give to the canteen is always greatly appreciated.
