TEAM TRAVELS TO BEDGERABONG

On Wednesday 1st June, Trundle Central School students travelled to Bedgerabong Public School to play in round 2 of the Small Schools Soccer Knockout.
Report:
What a day! The weather was bitterly cold, the wind howled across the soccer field and the students knew that it was going to be a tough game against Bedgerabong as they had watched the first game. Bedgerabong convincingly won against Hermidale 5-0. The team nervously went out onto the field knowing that they would have to play their best as Bedgerabong had some very strong strikers.
Our team held their own with Thomas Sanderson scoring the first two goals. Bedgerabong retaliated by scoring the next two at the end of the first half.
Our team had to regroup and go out and play harder than they had ever done before. Cameron Strudwick scored two consecutive goals to put us ahead and Thomas Sanderson cemented the win with a final goal near full time. The final score was 5-2. Congratulations to the team.
A huge thank you to Harry Budd who has not only coached this team in his lunchtimes but also refereed both games. Thank you to Mr Burley who also coached the team and drove the bus.
