Stage 5 complete crash course
Ungarie Central School students in Stage 5 Careers had a crash course in all things “moving out of home”. They were given scenarios to complete. They learnt to find rentals within their budget and discussed paying a bond. They looked at finding cars within their budget before finally working in pairs to work out their immediate living expenses for setting up a rental with the necessities on an apprentice wage. Some students were frugal, using marketplace and Gumtree, while others found new beds, while forgetting they had to purchase a mattress as well.
