SACC TRANSITION TO SCHOOL PROGRAM

Schools as Community Centres (SaCC) will commence providing transition to school sessions at Condobolin Public School throughout Terms three and four.

The sessions begin in Term Three, Week Five. They will be held every Thursday in the SaCC Room at Condobolin Public School from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Central West Family Support Group Inc will help with picking up and dropping parents and children off to the program.

These sessions are for families whose children do not attend formal care including Preschool and are enrolling in Kindergarten for 2022. Both the Condoobolin Preschool and Childcare Centre and Lachlan Children Services offer a separate transition to School timetable for their students.

“Parents will be supported with school readiness experiences to help their child have a successful start to School,” Condobolin Public School SaCC Facilitator Heidi Johnson explained.

“Families will have the opportunity to become familiar with the School environment and be given assistance with the enrolment process.

“The program is about allowing parents and children extra time to become familiar with the environment, school routines and teachers.

“Not everyone has to go to Preschool, so this is a great opportunity for those who don’t attend Preschool. Imagine how scary it would be just turning up on the first day of school when you have never been there before.

“Parents can discuss their concerns in regards to their child’s development, if they have any, or we can just help out with anything needed for the enrolment process.”

Please contact Condobolin Public School SaCC Facilitator Heidi Johnson on 6895 2134 or through the Facebook Page for further information.
