QUOTA TROPHY RETURNED
The Condobolin Quota Club President’s Award for Community Service has been returned to the local resident Rohini Dwyer, who donated it.
Former Condobolin Quota member Ros L’Estrange handed the trophy back on Thursday, 24 September, as the Club has disbanded.
Mrs Dwyer, donated the trophy in memory of her brother Mark Singh, who passed away on 31 May, 2006.
Those who were presented with the award include Norma Fleming (2006), Heather Cannon (2007), Lynne Hawley (2008), Margaret Karsten (2009), Sharon Denyer (2010), Connie Venables (2011), Roslyn L’Estrange (2012), Margaret Karsten (2012), Sue Kendall (2013), Elaine Lavender (2014), Rosemary Wallder (2015), Vicki Hanlon (2016), Margaret Karsten (2017) and Sandra O’Brien (2018).
Mrs L’Estrange said she and the former Quota Club were very grateful for Mrs Dwyer’s donation, and it was awarded to many deserving community members while the organisation was still in operation.
Mrs Dwyer said she happily donated the trophy to the Quota Club and now it would remain in her family, where she would continue to look after it.
