MARILYN DEFEATS PAM IN A CLOSE CONTEST
Condobolin Sports Club Women’s Bowls
Friday 17th June, the first round of the Minor Singles was played.
Janelle Taylor narrowly defeated Zena Jones.
Second round to be played on or before Saturday 25th June between Janelle Taylor and Mel Rees.
Final of the Major Singles Championship was played on Saturday 28th June, between Pam Nicholl and Marilyn Seton.
This game was even after four ends Marilyn 4, Pam 3. After ten ends, Marilyn 14, Pam was still sitting on 3 shots. Then Pam scored 8 shots in the next 4 ends to close the gap.
After this comeback from Pam, Marilyn produced some great bowls, winning seven of the next ten ends. Marilyn 25 defeated Pam 15.
Congratulations to Marilyn Seton our 2022/23 Major Club Singles Champion and Pam Nicholl runners-up.
