On Tuesday 12th April, Melbourne artist, Heesco completed the Lake Cargelligo Water Tower Mural after 3 weeks and 1 day of hard work with the help of Erin Haywood and Damien Mitchell.
Heesco began the commisson on 21st of March, after 2 years of trying to make it happen. He was commissioned by Lakes Alive Association and Gus Blacker, thanks to nearly $60,000 in funding from the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal Grant.
In the end, Heesco used 200 litres of Haymes paint and close to 500 cans of Loop colors spraycans.
The community has shown nothing but love and excitement for the mural and is over the moon that it’s finally completed.
