Eli O’Brian Yates was the winner of the Lachlan Shire Young Citizen of the Year Award.
Below is Eli’s summary.
Eli is involved in the Condo Auto Motocross club and rides every month. He always gains a place when riding and at the end of year awards, he was the overall runner-up of the club and placed 1st for his bike rank 50cc. Eli made it to Western for 100m running race which took place in Dubbo representing his local school. Eli plays rugby league on Saturdays and received the award for the Best Attacker and the Coaches Award. Eli takes part in aboriginal dancing honouring his culture with a group in Parkes.
Eli is a confident young boy who has high standards to always do his best when it comes to his sport. His overall goal is to make it in motocross professionally. Eli identifies as an Aboriginal and enjoys learning about his culture and traditions.
