CHS SHOW SKILLS TO DEFEAT GULGONG
On Wednesday, 25 May the Condobolin High School Under 16’s Rugby League team took on Gulgong Central School in the first round of the Tom Kemp Shield. “With no bench due to injuries and representative duties the boys knew from the beginning that they would have to dig in,” a post on the Condobolin High School Facebook Page read. “They started well with two tries in the first ten minutes and never looked back from there. “The final score finished at 38-18 with a total of seven tries. “The highlight of the day was Manny Peterson running 70 metres untouched to score! “Man of the Match went to Noah Nash after some slick work out of dummy half and a determined defensive effort throughout the game. “We would like to thank Gulgong Central School for making the long trip over, Scott Tanswell for making time to referee the game, Zena Jones for the dash to the chemist and all the family and community members who came to support,” the post concluded.
