Anna gets nominated
Anna Rose Ward was nominated for the Lachlan Shire Sportsperson of the Year award. The award was presented to Brad Hart of Lake Cargelligo.
Below is the summary read at the awards ceremony.
Anna, a talented all-round sportswoman, was selected for the Australian Junior Women’s Ultimate Team to compete at the World Flying Disc Federation 2024 World Junior Ultimate Championships in Birmingham, United Kingdom. Anna was also chosen for the Southern Rebels Team for the Womens 20’s National Touch League and the 2024 NSW Emerging Talent Squad.
Amongst other impressive sporting achievements, Anna also competed in the NSW Junior State Cup Touch Football series, South West Ultimate Frisbee WD2, NSW All Schools Ultimate Frisbee and Touch Football Australia Nationals to name a few. Anna is also a zone representative for netball, touch, athletics and swimming.
Anna has been described as a hardworking, strong and dedicated, proving to be a credit to herself, her family, her school and her community. She has shown true sportsmanship and commitment in all her sports. She puts in hard work with her training which showcases her abilities in all aspects of her sports by being chosen in all the Representative and Australian Teams mentioned.
