The project includes service relocation and installation, construction of new garden beds and pedestrian facilities which will be completed in stages, beginning Friday 24th June 2022, until approximately Friday 16 December 2022.
Stage 1 – will include removal of existing trees and protection cages
Stage 2 – will include service relocation and installation
Stage 3 – will include construction of new garden beds and pedestrian facilities
Stage 4 – will consist of the construction of the Community Hub
Friday was the start of stage 1, which began with the removal of the trees on the eastern side of Forbes Street.
“Sad to see a little of the town history disappear. The pepper tree planted by the Tree Planting Committee that was formed in 1917. A sad end to a tree that had seen many ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day and events at the Memorial Hall.” read an article on the MyTrundle website.
