Condo Picnics rearing to go

The Condobolin Picnic races are all set for a great day on the 20th February.

By Anne Coffey

A great line up of races, with the Condobolin Royal Hotel Picnic Cup the highlight, will see The Condobolin Picnic Races off to a flying start on Saturday February the 20th.

Ladies will be getting out the glamour and men will spruce up their suits to look the part on the newly laid turf at the grounds.

Fashion in the Fields will be judged and patrons are encouraged to ‘dress up’ to join the fun and get into the Race Day spirit.

There will be full bar facilities and race goers are warned not to bring their own alcohol trackside. Food is available all day. You can even hire a Marquee to enjoy the day with friends.

For the members there will be entertainment by Lueth Ajak, a fresh new entertainer who as a student lives in Bathurst and plays at local pubs. With Lueth’s unique sound, and post race entertainment by The Works, there will be plenty of entertainment.

The  young ones are not forgotten either with a Jumping Castle to keep them entertained while Mum and Dad join the punters.

With the Calcutta being held on Friday the 19th February at the Royal Hotel from 7pm and the Charity Bike Rides on Saturday morning it is shaping up to be a great weekend.

The Bikes will be giving Harley Rides to raise money for the Helipad.

Around 80 riders will roar into town to support the Picnics and raise money for the community.

So grab your glam and get ready for an entertaining weekend of races, music and rides.
