The luncheon is the Condobolin branch of the UHA’s biggest yearly fundraiser. “This year we’re raising funds specifically for the helipad for the hospital,” said UHA Treasurer, Francis Gavel.

At the Condobolin RSL Club, guests shared in a chicken and seafood buffet luncheon with many staying on to watch the big race. In the Fashions on the Field, Debbie Hamilton won Best Dressed Lady with a stylish white, black and grey outfit and matching red belt and fascinator. Leigh Haworth took out Best Dressed Man, while Susan Coombs’ intricate sheer green hat won the prize for Best Hat.

Even the Condobolin Preschool and Kindergarten children were able to get involved in the day, with homemade fascinators and hats, smart outfits and dresses, party food and games.
