The Condobolin Sports Club made a presentation of badges and certificates to life members of both former Bowls and Golf clubs last Sunday during a Life Members Bowls Day.

President Doug Parnaby, who gave the awards on behalf of the Club said, “The life members had never received any badges or certificates in the past and with the amalgamation [of the Golf and Bowls Clubs] we decided to recognize them for all the work they have done.”

The recipient Life members are: Derm Carey, Earle Harding, Keith Hartin, Owen Cannon, Lionel Turner, Ella Adams and Joan Keeley. Lionel, Ella and Joan were unable to attend though Ella’s grandson Stephen Taylor and Joan’s son Tim were there on their behalf.

Derm Carey said, “It was a nice surprise and a good idea to be updated to the new club. We all appreciated the lunch and presentation.”

A reminder that the third round of the Club championships are on this coming Saturday.
